Oceania

We deliver the Oceania Sport Education Programme in the Oceania Continent of the Olympic Movement.

Of the seventeen members that belong to the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC), Australia and New Zealand have existed more than a century and given their stages of economic and political development, have the privilege of a more mature, and consequently stronger, sporting industry. Part of this history is the existence of sports education programmes from multiple stakeholders at National Federation (NF), National Olympic Committee (NOC) and government levels.

Hence, our Programme has concentrated on the development and delivery of sport education and capacity building in the 15 Pacific island countries of Oceania. We deliver our Programme through three geographical clusters classified as Zones.

Following are the three OSEP Zones:

This consists of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Guam (GUM), Marshall Islands (MHL), Palau (PLW).

The countries in this zone are Fiji (FIJ), Kiribati (KIR), Papua New Guinea (PNG), Solomon Islands (SOL), Tuvalu (TUV), and Vanuatu (VAN).

This zone comprises American Samoa (ASA), Cook Islands (COK), Nauru (NRU), Samoa (SAM), and Tonga (TGA).
